Great staff, helped us understand the posted menu because I had never been there before. Also manager was checking on tables to make sure everything was OK and offering a brownie sample to guests. I will definitely go back!
Went with my husband and son tonight. The staff at this location is phenomenal. They will make things right and treat you with the utmost respect and courtesy. The food is always fresh. Manager on shift during PM shift today was amazing!
Took my residents from Brookdale Harrisburg out for lunch. The team at Mission BBQ was so nice and attentive! The respect they have for my residents that are veterans was amazing. They felt so special. Can’t wait to bring them back!

The ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and pulled chicken all had that rich, smoky flavor you hope for, while still staying perfectly moist and tender. One detail I really loved—you can order ribs individually, which makes it easy to mix and match without committing to a full rack. The sides were just as memorable. The mac and cheese was an absolute standout—creamy, rich, and comforting. The baked beans were packed with flavor, and we also tried the collard greens, green beans, and slaw. The slaw deserves a special mention for its creamy sauce and subtle kick from celery seeds—it tied everything together perfectly. Another highlight is their wide variety of house-made sauces. There’s truly something for everyone, and you can tell a lot of care goes into each one. That same level of attention carries through the entire meal—you can taste the effort and pride in every bite. What really sets this place apart, though, is the customer service. It was genuinely exceptional—on par with some Michelin-star experiences I’ve had, which is almost unheard of in a casual dining setting. 10/10. I would absolutely recommend checking this spot out. Honestly, it’s better than most BBQ I had while living in the South.
We used this mission bbq location to cater our wedding recently. From the beginning, they were extremely helpful, accommodating and responsive. They went out of their way to make everything perfect for us. Our guests loved the buffet style and the food is always delicious. I would choose them again in a heartbeat if you are looking for catering for an event. The staff were all extremely kind!

Don…wait staff, Lucy at the register, Cindy that welcomed us and explained the establishments values and the business end along with a warm handshake and the manager Elizabeth whom I didn’t personally meet but she runs a tight ship. I’m a ten year old that loves bbq. I first realized my love for it when I came to mission bbq, when my mom suggested it. She takes me here every time we have a chance to come. I’ve never ever tried ribs before so my mom suggested coming, thinking I would like them. I now LOVE them. Shout out to my boy John. He is the nicest person I’ve ever met. He gets everything for us so we don’t have to stand up. Thank you so much for what you do.
I love BBQ, and theirs is top notch. Most places I can just look and say “mines better”. Theirs is just absolutely consistently amazing. We have a joke in our family that “you can taste the love” in the food, and honestly they exemplify that. The brisket, the pork, the chicken, the sausages… they are all so good, but then again I have never seen a staff member that didn’t look like they lived what they are doing. They are all truly I love with the mission and products and for good reasons. What a truly great American business model. Happy people, good food, great place.
This place is ridiculously well run. The people are friendly, the food is fantastic and reasonably priced for BBQ and you get decent portions. The whole supporting Vets and other types of service members is awesome. The only thing bad that has ever happened here for me is one time they were out of Diet Mt. Dew. I asked them to replace and they said "OK" then did and apologized profusely....The whole encounter was like 45s.......It was traumatizing.
